Comments on the Movie "Hackers Operation"

The movie ended up with Mr. Mitnick arrested by the Police Officers thus imprisoned.

Doing such kind of activities on what Mr. Mitnick did, well, its really a bad habit. Good thing for him because he has that kind of talent, an abilities to manipulate computer processes and data procedures wherein Mr. Mitnick utilized those in his own intention, for his own benefits and good without realizing how bad the activities was.

As far as I have observed from the movie, those transactions where Mr. Mitnock manipulated are quite confidential that needs to be private in a situation that, only those who are part of the business-authorized personnel or officials, the administrators as well can have the authority to draw on it.

According to my idea, though, I am not really fully understand of what the whole story all about. What I grasp was, is the notion wherein Mr. Mitnick did a bad doings which are not acceptable by law and Computer Ethics. He manipulated transactions/data/information that are not belong to his control and he don't even have authority to use such data and information.

Considering the Professional Ethics in using computers and the statement that says "Computer machines are belongs to no one". It is just correct to imprisoned Mr. Mitnick and pay the amount which are due to his delinquency, because he  has done unacceptable activities  that are self-centered and are not acceptable by any law. He utilizes information which are out of his care using computer machines that belongs to no one.

The movie is somehow awaken us-learners on the importance of practicing good virtues with regards to computer ethics.

I have visited once in a government agency wherein, I have seen a kiosk which functions are; to  mention clients’ priority number, announce the table number of  vacant or free officers to transact with, and to give alarms to whatever information that has been instructed. It’s excellent for that particular agency to have that kind of device, because its helps both clients and officers to experience smooth flow and organized transactions.  

When we say, Self Service Kiosks, it would address to a type of devices or machines that can be carried by everyone and used for a variety of purposes which can be deployed at a wide and variety of places, such as airports, theme parks, malls, hospitals, museum, or any other large campus where arbitrary visitors need immediate access to sources of information that will help them to easily get what they wish to know. This machine offers appropriate and relevant information as requested by the client, so there is no way to encounter hassle of handling numerous transactions in a particular office or agency.

Based on my understanding after reading some documents that dwells on the subject matter (Personal Kiosks), it is better to have this kind of machine, for the reason that, aside from it lifted-up current way of knowing basic information to accomplish various processes, it also give us justifiable advantages and functions. Like, easy access to organizational information of the particular office or institution, good support for access by masses of anonymous users, self explained user interface and etc. Thus, the use of this kind of device is a help to everybody.

Advantages are quite good, but it is only limited, where not everyone can benefit to this. Only those who have that kind of device(s) (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) or those who can afford to purchase it and able to pay its monthly expected expenses, for the wireless internet connection because, as stated it will only be effective in the zone where Wi-Fi (wireless internet connection) is present.

Good thing to have this device because its offers the state of he art way of communicating with one another. But, if this will be implemented in the Philippines, there would be great failures or losses occur to those companies like SMART and GLOBE who are the leading business that caters SMS or the carriers of SMS in the Philippines.

In today’s world where everything has a computer embedded in the system, having the basic knowledge about this wonder machine is like having a magic key which can open any door for you.

With regards to the literacy of grade school pupils in using computers, there are lots of disadvantages that I could consider but, there are also lots advantages which are justifiable and acceptable in many matters. Let’s talk about the disadvantages regarding the computer literacy of grade school pupils. First, computer literacy can harm their attitude. Second, it could make them lazy. Third, pupils became addict to some features such as playing games, internet browsing, movies, music etc.

Being literate than being illiterate with the use of computer at the early age is imperative. Let’s talk about “what grade school pupils can benefit regarding their literacy in using computer”. First, they can be more informative just because of their skills where they can manipulate computers which is the main tool for accessing the informations easily. Second, they become competent and advance learner with regards to new trends and technology.

Considering advantages and disadvantages I had stated above, Guardians/Parents should monitor and evaluate the learnings as well as the attitude of their children with regards to the effect of the literacy with the use of computer.

I agree with this matter, that grade school pupils should learned on how to use computer at the early age but, there should be a monitoring and evaluation activity to be done so that the usage, the informations, and their literacy will not be abused but can be utilized in the right way.

          As I have read the article regarding the three technologies to watch, in my own perspective to these three devices, this is to augment the need of more gadgets as the technology growing higher. It will be used for the various functions that are essentials in making informations available at any period of time.

          The use of such device is somehow acceptable in the field of any professional practice. It is very useful in terms of research/documentations/conferences-seminars/news/updates and any other related topic that are part to the subject matter involve to a particular transaction.

The three devices – Kinect, Augmented Reality and Apple Mc Book Air, are such ideal tools which can be used either home, school and office related task. As stated on the article that this technology uses special sensors to pick up all the body’s movements and links them to the motion response in the game, I am referring to the first device (kinect). Just imagine how creative the kenect is, where people play using it but will exert effort or use body movements where kenect interact to it.

With regards to the second device (augmented reality), I was absolutely amazed just because it provides a user with an overlay of digital information on a real time, real world of image. I can’t imagine how the device can recognize and perform task such when you point it to a particular thing that we can see around, just for example a stone, it will provide with you the details of that stone as well its history. It could also be used for face recognition-you simply take a picture of the person you want to know using the device and connect to facebook or any other social networking profiles then you can have the info of that person.

Every device bears its own advantages and disadvantage. I could consider that these three devices could provide us many advantages with fewer disadvantages. It concerns more of what we need; it performs like it doing some magic.
